Some of my favorite fine art will be on display at the Alexandria Arts on the Avenue Festival. The event is Saturday October 5 from 10:00AM to 6:00PM on Mount Vernon Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia. I am lucky to have this opportunity provided by the Alexandria Police Foundation. The Police Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the officers of the police department through grants and other programs. They are currently fundraising for a memorial that will be placed in front of Police Headquarters.
They have provided space at their booth for artists from the Department to display their work. This provides the public with another face of the department besides just the uniform. It will hopefully draw more people to the displays and raise awareness for this outstanding charity. Judy from Fuzzy Paws Bakery will be there to staff the booth and will have a selection of her dog treats for sale as well.
I have placed a limited number of items for sale at the show, including some unique framed prints. I have also created an online gallery so that you can browse the artwork and order directly from the site, especially if you miss it at the show. So take a look around the gallery and head out to the festival!
